The new tabletop roleplaying game from Fogg Realm Games

The Realms of Aetherus is powered by the New Realms Core system.

I am Fogg the head Designer and CEO, of Fogg Realm Games. This project has been a labor of love here.

I started playing and running Roleplaying games over 40 years ago, and after learning dozens of RPG systems I came to realize that they all had mechanics I like and ones I didn’t.

It was for that reason I created the Realms Core system. I adapted what I felt was the best game mechanics from all of my experience and streamlined and converted to all work together in one system that could cover a wide variety of preferred and interconnected game themes.

This has led us to The Realms of Aetherus. Put simply, The Realms of Aetherus is a modern Urban Science Fantasy roleplaying game. In it players will portray Guardians. These are powerful warriors with different abilities all powered by Aether Energy. The story will be told and continually evolve from the participation of the players and crafted and officiated by The Realmkeeper. This is a player that is running the game for in which everyone else will participate.

In The Realms of Aetherus all folktale and supernatural creatures are real, but not in the way you think. For centuries energy From the Aetherus realm has bled through into all realities. All of these realities are happening at the same flow of time. But some may be radically different than ours. Terra Prime is the core earth, the one we live in now. But there are other earths that have experienced different breakpoints from ours that have caused them to differ in sometime drastic ways. Did the dark ages ever end, was there a mass extinction event or are the dinosaurs still around?

Realmkeepers will be able to craft their own Realms, or they will be able to utilize official pre-crafted Realmbook supplements which are planned for future releases.

In this game the Aether energy has led to some very sensitive people in the past being able to utilize this energy. Merlin, Pharaohs, any number of mythical beings have tapped into that energy. Recently that had all changed due to an incident that happened simultaneously on many different realities of Earth. The incident which took place in 1957 caused breaches to open up all over the world. These breaches have allowed lots of Aether energy to come through and many more people can now use the powers that were once very rare. And the occasional incursions of creatures from other realities or from Aetherus itself have become much more common.

This is where the Guardians come in. They are the front lines against these incursions. This can lead to many different types of adventures. Do the players have to face actual incursions of creatures, or is it a human with Aetheric powers, or is it a normal case of mystery and suspense. The options are only limited by your imagination. So come and join us, gather friends and play games. The Realms of Aetherus awaits.
